I did four of these stage monitors with just a Beta 8 & Piezo with an Lpad. 30/60/90 shape should make them easy to move and use. The peak in the 500-800 range should actually help the vocalists. Set up for daisy chaining and steel grills.
They use a 30 ohm shunt resistor ahead of a 4 ohm inline resistor for padding
Here are the four monitors before assembly and final Duratex coating. They are set up for daisy chaining with Speakon jacks on both sides of the boxes. More work than they should have been. Inside was liberally stuffed with foam and some dacron.
The finished monitor. I found I needed 6 screws to hold the grills, and some weather stripping to keep the steel from buzzing against the wood. I was too burned out to look for darker weather strip.
