CHURCH PA BUILD -- OMNITOP12

Yes the plans call for a passive crossover. I decided the least obtrusive spot for the Speakon jack is on the top of the box.

Eventually these will get a grill. I went ahead and sprayed the throat of the box flat black so it wouldn't show through. Inside of the cabinet is lined with eggcrate foam and 1/2" Sonic Barrier on the rear panel to give some air space to the back of the driver. There are two handle holes on the sides of the box that also function as ports. I just cut holes in the foam where the ports show through. Now I need to wait for a stain sample. (OMG, I'll need to fill dozens of brad holes!)

I wound up building brackets/shelves to hold the Omnis. Of course, after I got a picture of the alter and tried to match the color, they went ahead and darkened the wood with a dark brown Briwax.
These are glued and doweled, so I don't see them coming off the wall.

Here they are in their final home. Took three guys (one a firefighter) to get those bad boys up there. I couldn't see using Delta Pro's if one is saving his back. The grills use a copper colored mesh cloth for BB/FB jerseys. I think they set them off nicely.
We got several positive comments about the "two tone" finish. Go figure.

This shows the placement of the tops. I'd have liked them a bit lower, but we had to live with the construction and TVs.
The Titan 39 will be back wall loaded just to the left of the hand rail

100+ year old reclaimed pine with hammered copper inlays. Looking forward to staining the sub!

You can see the right main up there in the right corner. The big soffit is part of a sliding room divider that splits the room.
I'd have liked to see both boxes about a foot lower, but sound guy get's little say.
